For this tutorial you will need:
Materials
The three pics I used are in the Materials zipped file
Open a New Image 600 x 450
Flood with Off white or cream. I used #e6dac0
Selections - Select All
New Layer
Copy the Wild grasses graphic and paste into selection
New Layer
Copy the Orange coloured leaves and paste into selection
New Layer
Copy the Brown coloured leaves and paste into selection
Selections None
Highlight Raster 2 - Change the Opacity to 57 and the Mode to Hard Light
Highlight Raster 3 - Change the Opacity to 40 and the Mode to Screen
Highlight Raster 4 - Change the Opacity to 50 and the Mode to Darken
On Raster 4 apply Eye Candy Squint. Set the opacity slider to 20
On Raster 4 apply Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance and apply again
Merge Visible. Your Blend Background is ready
The possibilities are endless and fun
Choose different graphics and experiment
Choose tubes or mists with similar colouring to your blend
Stay on the merged layer - Selection Tool - Custom Selection
Top = 50, Left = 50, Right = 300, Bottom = 400
Apply Effects - Texture Effects - Mosaic Antique
Symmetric: Columns and Rows = 50, Tile Diffusion = 2, Grout Width = 2, Grout Diffusion = 20
Leave the Selection
Add a New Layer
Selections - Modify - Select Selection Borders. Check Both Sides and Antialias and enter a value of 1
Flood the border with a gold pattern
Selections None
Apply Drop shadow Vertical and Horizontal = 1, Opacity = 50, Blur = 0, colour Black
Apply each tube on a separate layer. Change Opacity and Blend Modes to suit your taste
Tubes used with the settings I used for each one
Ametista Antique Petals. Resized to 90%. Opacity 42, Blend Mode Normal. Apply FM Tile Tools, Blend Emboss, Default Values
Ametista Glorious Katie. Resized 85% three times. Opacity 40. Blend Mode Normal
Manon Leaves and Bottle. Opacity 90. Blend Mode Normal
Drop Shadow applied to the Leaves and Bottle
Vertical 1, Horizontal 8, Opacity 65, Blur 15, Colour Black
Repeat Drop Shadow with the same values
Copy and paste the heart divider as a New Layer
Rotate Right 90 degrees and move to the far left. Opacity 65, Blend Mode Normal
Drop Shadow: Vertical = 1, Horizontal = 8, Opacity = 50, Blur = 15, Colour Black
Merge all Layers Visible
Copy - this will stay in memory until the border is applied
Add Borders, Symmetric with a value of 10, Colour White or one not in your graphic
Select the border with the Magic Wand, Inside Checked
Add a New Layer and Paste into Selection - (the copied image is now in the border)
Leave the Selection and apply a Gaussian Blur of 4
Selections None
Add Border, Symmetric with a value of 2, Colour White and Flood with a gold pattern
Apply your text, watermark and any necessary copyright information
Resize using Bicubic Resampling
Be creative, a tutorial is a guideline only so have fun
